Accurate Diagnosis
Clinical examination backed by MRI and digital imaging to grade the injury before any treatment decision.
Precise Repair. Structured Rehabilitation. Confident Return.
The Institute of Excellence – Sports Injuries at Amandeep Hospitals specialises in advanced, minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of joint and ligament injuries — for athletes and for anyone whose knee, shoulder, ankle or tendon injury is holding them back.
Using high-definition arthroscopy, our orthopaedic surgeons visualise and repair ligament damage through keyhole incisions, then guide recovery with a customised rehabilitation programme designed to restore mobility and prevent re-injury.
Our focus is simple:
To repair the injury precisely, protect the joint for the long term and get you back to your sport — or your life — with confidence.

At Amandeep Hospitals we believe in a holistic approach to ligament injury treatment — combining conservative and surgical interventions to achieve the best possible recovery for each patient.
From ligament reconstruction and joint preservation surgery to meniscus repair and cartilage restoration, we offer comprehensive solutions tailored to each patient's injury, activity level and goals. Our specialists provide customised rehabilitation programmes — physiotherapy, bracing and strength training — to restore mobility and prevent re-injury.
For severe ligament damage, our surgeons perform advanced procedures such as ACL and PCL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair and cartilage restoration. Whether you are a competitive athlete or someone who wants to walk, climb stairs and play with your children without pain, our team is committed to helping you regain full function.
The Institute brings together:
Many sports injuries heal well without an operation, and no operation succeeds without rehabilitation.
That is why every patient at the Institute is assessed for the least invasive path to a stable, pain-free joint — and every surgical patient leaves with a structured rehabilitation plan.
Getting an athlete — or anyone — back to full function takes accurate diagnosis, precise repair and disciplined rehabilitation. At Amandeep, all three are built into one programme.
Clinical examination backed by MRI and digital imaging to grade the injury before any treatment decision.
High-definition camera and instruments allow precise keyhole repair with minimal disruption to healthy tissue.
Meniscus repair and cartilage restoration wherever possible, because preserving tissue protects the joint for decades.
Orthopaedic surgeons focused on complex knee and shoulder injury, from first-time dislocations to revision reconstruction.
Progressive strength, balance and agility training with objective clearance testing before you return to play.
The Institute manages acute sports injuries and the chronic instability, stiffness and pain that follow untreated ones.
Cruciate ligament rupture causing the knee to give way during twisting or pivoting.
Torn knee cartilage causing pain, locking, catching and swelling.
Torn shoulder tendons causing pain and weakness on overhead activity.
Instability after a first dislocation, especially in young and active patients.
Focal cartilage defects in the knee that cause pain and early arthritis.
Painful loss of shoulder movement, often after injury or immobilisation.
Sprains and chronic ankle instability that keep re-injuring.
Patellar, Achilles and other tendon tears and tendinopathies.
Overstretched ligaments and muscle injuries managed conservatively.
Treatment is matched to the injury — rest, bracing and physiotherapy where they will work, and precise arthroscopic surgery where they will not.
Arthroscopic reconstruction of a torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, restoring knee stability for sport and daily life.
Repair of a torn meniscus wherever the tear pattern allows, since preserving it protects the joint from arthritis.
Keyhole reattachment of torn shoulder tendons for pain and weakness on overhead activity.
Arthroscopic repair of the torn labrum for recurrent shoulder dislocation and instability.
Microfracture and cartilage transfer techniques for focal cartilage defects in the knee.
Direct inspection of the joint when imaging is inconclusive, with treatment performed in the same sitting.
Bracing, targeted injections and physiotherapy for injuries that heal well without surgery.
Progressive strength, balance and agility programme with objective clearance testing before return to play.
Not sure how serious your injury is?
A specialist examination and, where needed, an MRI will tell you whether your injury needs surgery, rehabilitation or simply time.
Get EvaluatedArthroscopy turns a large open incision into a few small ones — but only if the camera, instruments and surgeon are up to the task.
The Institute pairs high-definition arthroscopy with advanced imaging and a supervised rehabilitation gym, so the precision of surgery is carried through into the precision of recovery.
What supports the clinical team:
High-definition arthroscopy gives the surgeon a magnified view of ligament, cartilage and meniscus in real time.
The result is a more accurate repair through smaller incisions — with less pain, less scarring and a faster start to rehabilitation.
A sports injury treated well returns you to full activity. Treated poorly, it becomes early arthritis. At Amandeep every element of care is designed around long-term joint health.
Orthopaedic surgeons with a dedicated focus on complex knee and shoulder injury and arthroscopic reconstruction.
Repair before removal, and conservative care before surgery — because tissue preserved today prevents arthritis tomorrow.
Structured, supervised programmes with objective testing before you are cleared to return to sport.
The same precision and programme whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend walker with a bad knee.
Seven coordinated stages — from the day you are injured to the day you are cleared to compete again.
A sports orthopaedic specialist examines the joint and takes a detailed history of the injury.
MRI and X-ray grade the ligament, meniscus or cartilage damage.
Conservative care where it will work; arthroscopic surgery where the injury needs repair.
Keyhole reconstruction or repair, usually as a short-stay procedure.
Pain control, protected movement and physiotherapy from the first days after surgery.
Progressive gym-based programme rebuilding strength, balance and sport-specific movement.
Objective clearance testing before you go back — so the injury does not come back with you.
Start at step one.
Book a consultation and let a specialist assess your injury.
Book NowA ligament reconstruction is successful when the patient trusts the joint again.
For one person, that means returning to the football pitch. For another, it means running after a bus, lifting a child or climbing stairs without the knee giving way.
Our approach therefore goes beyond the operation itself.
A joint that no longer gives way, locks or dislocates.
Muscle and movement rebuilt to protect the repair.
Returning to sport and daily life without fear of re-injury.
Because the real outcome is a joint that lasts a lifetime.
It is Surgeon + Arthroscopy + Rehabilitation + Patient.
High-definition arthroscopy lets the surgeon see and repair what open surgery would have to cut through.
Imaging tells us exactly what is torn and how badly.
But no camera can rebuild strength, and no scan can restore confidence.
At Amandeep, precise surgery is followed by a rehabilitation programme built around you — with one objective:
Orthopaedic surgeons focused on complex knee and shoulder injury, supported by sports physiotherapists and rehabilitation staff.

For most sports injuries, follow the R.I.C.E. method — Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation — to reduce swelling and pain. If the joint gives way, locks, looks deformed or you cannot bear weight, seek medical attention right away.
A sprain is an overstretched or torn ligament; a strain affects a muscle or tendon. Sprains typically cause joint instability, swelling and bruising, while strains cause muscle pain, weakness and spasm. A specialist examination and, where needed, MRI will confirm which structure is injured.
Surgery is considered when the injury is severe — a torn ligament such as the ACL, a torn tendon or a fracture — or when instability, locking or pain persists despite rest and physiotherapy. Many injuries heal well without an operation.
Recovery depends on the injury. Minor sprains and strains may settle in a few weeks; ligament reconstruction or fracture typically takes several months of structured rehabilitation before full return to sport. Following the programme closely is the single biggest factor in a good result.
Many can. Proper warm-ups, the right equipment and technique, good physical conditioning and avoiding overtraining all reduce risk. After an injury, completing rehabilitation and passing return-to-sport testing protects against re-injury.
Physiotherapy restores strength, flexibility and function after injury or surgery. It uses targeted exercises and treatment to improve mobility, reduce pain and correct the movement patterns that caused the injury — which is why it is built into every treatment plan at the Institute.
You don't have to accept an unstable knee or a painful shoulder as the end of your active life.
Get your injury evaluated by our sports orthopaedic specialists and understand whether rehabilitation, arthroscopic surgery or both could get you back to what you love.
Repair precisely. Return confidently.
