Trauma & Emergency
At the core of our trauma services is a patient-centric approach that prioritises rapid response, compassionate care and personalised treatment plans.
Equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, we efficiently handle a wide range of trauma cases — automobile accidents, fractures, sports injuries, burns and workplace mishaps — with a multidisciplinary team available around the clock.
Our fully equipped surgical suites, advanced imaging, intensive care units and specialised rehabilitation services provide comprehensive support at every stage of recovery. Understanding the physical and emotional impact of trauma, our team offers continuous post-operative care and rehabilitation to restore function and quality of life.
The Institute brings together:
A trauma patient rarely needs one specialist. They need an orthopaedic surgeon for the fracture, a neurosurgeon for the head injury, an intensivist for the ICU and a physiotherapist for the road back.
At Amandeep, every one of them is under the same roof — and every one of them is reachable in minutes.
Trauma care is a chain — pre-hospital response, triage, resuscitation, imaging, surgery, intensive care and rehabilitation. The Institute is built so no link in that chain is missing.
Structured triage on arrival so life-threatening injuries are identified and treated first, without waiting.

What supports the trauma team:
The best-equipped emergency room is only as good as the people running it.
Our emergency physicians, trauma surgeons and intensivists train together on protocols so that when a patient arrives, everyone already knows their role.
Severe injury cannot wait for a referral. At Amandeep, the entire chain of survival — from ambulance to rehabilitation — is delivered by one institution.
For many years Amandeep has been the region's comprehensive trauma centre, receiving referrals from across Punjab and neighbouring states.

Save our emergency number.
Keep it on your phone — in an emergency, the first call is the one that matters.
Book NowSurviving a serious accident is only the beginning.
For one patient, recovery means walking again after a pelvic fracture. For another, it means returning to work after a head injury, or regaining the use of a hand after a crush injury.
Our approach therefore extends well beyond the emergency room.
Rapid, protocol-driven care in the golden hour.
Surgery and rehabilitation aimed at restoring movement and use.
Helping patients return to self-care, work and family life.
Because the real outcome of trauma care is the life that follows it.
It is Team + Protocol + Technology + Compassion.
Protocols make sure nothing is missed when seconds count.
Imaging and monitoring show the team what the eye cannot see.
But a frightened patient and a waiting family need more than efficiency.
At Amandeep, trauma care is delivered with urgency and with humanity — with one objective:
Emergency physicians and intensivists who lead the trauma response, supported by surgical specialists across every department.

View ProfileStraight answers about trauma, emergencies and what to do when they happen.
A traumatic injury is any severe physical injury caused by accidents, falls, violence or other external forces. It includes fractures, burns, head injuries, spinal injuries and internal organ damage.
Seek emergency care immediately if you experience severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, difficulty breathing, a suspected fracture, deep wounds, a head or spinal injury, or any condition that may be life-threatening.
Call emergency services immediately. Try to stop bleeding by applying firm pressure, keep the person still if there is a possible spinal injury, and provide CPR if they are not breathing. Avoid moving them unless it is necessary for their safety.
Treatment depends on the severity and type of injury. It may involve wound care, surgery, pain management, imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI), critical care support and rehabilitation for recovery.
Ensure your own safety first, then check on the injured. Call emergency services, avoid moving injured people unless there is immediate danger, control bleeding with pressure and provide reassurance until help arrives. Wearing seat belts and helmets and following traffic rules prevents most serious injuries.
Triage is the process of prioritising patients by the severity of their injuries. Medical teams assess and categorise arrivals so that those with life-threatening conditions receive immediate attention while others are treated according to urgency — which is essential during mass casualty incidents.
Emergencies do not announce themselves. Knowing where to go — and that a full trauma team will be waiting — can make all the difference.
